If Respondent has used a weapon to abuse you, you can ask the Court to order Respondent to surrender Respondent's weapons. A weapon is a gun, a knife, a club, or any other item that is commonly used to hurt people.
The judge will not order Respondent to surrender a weapon unless you have described how and when Respondent used it on you. If you have not described how Respondent has used a weapon on you, you should return to your description of the abuse.
If Respondent is in the military or is employed as a law enforcement officer Respondent may be exempted from surrendering Respondent's firearms.
